Book a restorative stay at this cosy traditional cottage located on a working farm in west Pembrokeshire, 1 mile from St Davids. With the popular Pembrokeshire Coastal Path just 500 metres away, you’ll have fantastic walking opportunities all around and the pretty sandy cove of Porthselau 0.5 miles away. This dog-friendly accommodation is one of two rentable properties located around a communal courtyard. It sleeps up to five guests, so is perfect for a family trip or group of friends.

The gorgeous raw stone exterior sets the scene for the cottage’s stylish rustic interior, which has deep-set windows and a homely, welcoming appearance. Expect plenty of wood and floral soft furnishings, plus a farmyard-style kitchen equipped with a Rangemaster cooker and an attractive wooden dining table for those family meals. The double-aspect living area, with plush sofas, is ideal for resting your legs after a busy day of outdoor adventures. In mild weather, you can kick back in your private garden with a cup of tea or cold beer. You’ll also have access to a shared front garden where there’s a bench and a BBQ available. Any children or dogs in your party will love burning off steam in the playing field adjacent to the cottages, which has glorious views.

When it’s time to venture out, you’ll find plenty of pubs, cafes, and shops in nearby St Davids, famous cathedral you may choose to visit. You can enjoy a scenic round of golf locally (2 miles) and, if you’ve brought your bike, join National Cycle Route 4, at St Davids. Head to St Justinian’s cove (0.5 miles) to take a wildlife safari or book a boat trip to the RSPB Nature Reserve on Ramsey Island.

Cottage on a working farm. Directions to find it were easy to follow. Loved seeing the horse and donkeys in the adjoining field! Easy access from the door to walk part of coast path. Very close to St Davids which has a good variety of shops. Cathedral worth visiting. The tour is very interesting. Pub serves food - would recommend booking a table.Read more If near Fishguard pop into the library to see The Last invasion Tapestry. If you want a sandy beach Newgale is excellent. Good rockpooling at the far end. Shame the weather prevented the boats going to Ramsey island, but we still had a lovely few days away Hide

We loved our stay at Y Felin. It was exactly as described. Good sized and very well equipped kitchen, small living room, one large bedroom with en suite and three small ones. There was lots of hot water, the heating worked and so did the washing machine. We are swimmers and we spent the weekend swimming, drying our swim gear and swimming again.Read more 10 minute walk to St Justinians Lifeboat station/coast path. Longer walk into St Davids (we cycled - it took 10 minutes to cycle). Bearing in mind you're at the end of Wales, the internet was a bit hit and miss (but mostly hit). Outdoor area was great and the donkeys were adorable. Chickens came for a nosey (and some boiled rice too). We loved it Hide
