One of six farm cottages nestled in the glorious Welsh countryside on the doorstep of the Breacon Beacons National Park, this holiday home invites families and friends for a true farm-style getaway. This rural setting above the traditional village of Lower Capel is near the northern tip of the Brecon Beacons National Park, where endless adventures await. The vibrant market town of Brecon is just 4 miles away, with a castle, canal, and museum to explore. For families wanting to embrace the outdoors, there is a wide choice of activities nearby such as canoeing, paddle boarding and wild swimming on the River Wye and Llangorse Lake. Other nearby attractions within 30 miles include pony trekking, the Black Mountains, The National Show Caves, Cantref Adventure Park, the Big Pit Museum, and an excellent choice of mountains and hillsides to climb throughout the national park.

This spacious cottage forms part of a larger complex with shared facilities. Access to the cottage is via the shared courtyard, and although the accommodation is on one level, guests will climb a short set of steps up to the front door. A practical entrance hall offers storage for boots and coats before you step into the vast, open-plan living space that exudes country charm with its vaulted ceilings of exposed wooden beams. The space has been well configured with a group stay in mind; unwind in the glow of the lounge’s crackling wood burner, sinking into the many sofas as the Smart TV plays your favourite shows. To the front of the living space is a peaceful sitting room with windows all around that reveal the far-reaching countryside views that inspire outdoor adventures. When stomachs start to rumble, a well-appointed kitchen and diner await at the end of the living space, with all you need to whip up holiday feasts for the group. When day turns to night, head down the hallway to find three delightful bedrooms - a triple room with a double bed and single bed, a king-size room that can be converted to a twin on request, and a welcoming double bedroom. Serving the bedrooms is a well-equipped family bathroom and a separate shower room.

Outside, the space is shared between five other cottages and guests are free to use the indoor heated pool and hot tub on-site, as well as the communal courtyard with outdoor seating. For a peaceful start or end to your day, enjoy a short walk around the farm where you’ll pass farm animals and discover a children’s play area that little ones will love.
