This delightful property, set within the serene Welsh countryside, is ideal for friends and families looking for a peaceful holiday. An idyllic retreat amid 6 acres of shared grounds, it is in a privately owned hamlet of cottages. The property has a rich history as it was once part of a larger estate tended by monks. A scenic, 11-mile drive away lies the pretty seaside town of Aberaeron, which has a quaint harbour, shops and plenty of eateries to discover.

Enter this characterful, slate and stone cottage and step into the stylish, open-plan lounge/diner. The traditional country style is matched by plenty of contemporary comforts, ensuring a memorable stay. Sink into the plush sofas and cosy up around the wood burner on chilly evenings while you enjoy chatting or watching your favourite movies together on the Smart TV. The lounge transitions into a dining area adorned with a handmade, rustic table and benches. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm. Across a single level, the property has three bedrooms: one super king-size, one king-size, and one twin. There is a well-appointed shower room alongside a separate family bathroom. Through French doors off the dining area, you’ll find an enclosed private patio with a BBQ, a wood-burning hot tub, and a small paddock area. Explore the shared grounds and discover the charming bridge leading to a tranquil picnic area by the river.

Nearby, discover the historic market town of Lampeter (5 miles) on the way to reach the National Trust Dolaucothi (14 miles), where everyone can try their hand at panning for gold. Hikers and mountain bikers can enjoy the trails around the beautiful Abergorlech Forest (18 miles), or for a day at the beach, Dolau or New Quay Beach are both 12 miles away and a must-visit for relaxing, water sports, and fishing.

This was an absolutely beautiful cottage. It had everything that we needed and was so peaceful yet close enough to Aberystwyth a New Quay. The hot tub was a massive hit with the family.

Absolutely beautiful and well appointed cottage. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus to use at the end of a busy day of walking. The most dog friend cottage we have ever stayed at.

A comfortable, spacious and fully equipped cottage finished to a very high standard and with great attention to detail whilst the enclosed outside paddock was an ideal space for a high energy dog to play and run in. The personalised welcome pack of some basics and local treats was a very nice touch and very welcome after lengthy journeys to get thRead moreere. The location is remote but getting supplies is easy (10 mins by car to Lampeter). Overall, a great place to escape to and have as a base to explore this part of Wales. Hide

The cottage is stunning and has been finished to a very high standard. The location is beautiful and the perfect place to escape, with only sounds from birds in trees and animals grazing in fields. Mark and Jade were very welcoming.
