Venture further afield with a drive 14 miles north, passing the Preseli Hills, to historic Cardigan – gateway to the Teifi Valley and the Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire coastal paths. A similar distance south, Laugharne – the home of poet Dylan Thomas – sits on the estuary where the River Taf flows into Carmarthen Bay. Follow the Pembrokeshire coast west from here and Pendine has a 7-mile stretch of glorious sand, while the golden beaches of Tenby and Saundersfoot are within 22 miles of your holiday home.
