This romantic bolthole is tucked away in a beautiful West Wales valley, just outside the small village of LLanglydwen. The cottage, which sleeps two guests, makes a fantastic base for keen walkers, with countryside routes directly from your front door and easy access to the wild and remote Preseli Hills. The holiday home is located on a tranquil, exclusive site and guests have shared access to a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, and hot tub.

Slate steps lead to the idyllic converted barn and, inside, the rustic hideaway is bursting with character, with striking slate walls, exposed beams, and original arched windows and doorways. The main living area is a split-level, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a collection of comfortable furniture and homely accessories. After a long walk, rustle up a hearty feast in the farmhouse-style kitchen, before settling down at the dining table together to enjoy the stunning views of the garden. Steps from the dining area lead down to a cosy lounge, where an array of soft seating is arranged around a fabulous, rounded chimney breast housing a roaring wood burner. Relax here to watch a show on the smart TV or read a book from the selection provided. Completing this floor is a refreshing shower room. Open-tread stairs lead to the double bedroom on the mezzanine level, featuring a vaulted ceiling, wooden floorboards, and views of the garden through a charming arched window. Outside, accessed via four steps from the kitchen/diner, is a private courtyard surrounded by pretty plants and shrubs. Relax here, looking out over the shared lawn, as you sip a glass of wine or fire up the BBQ for an al fresco supper. Private parking for two cars is available in a shared, onsite courtyard.

The bustling town of Narberth is 11.5 miles away and has a thriving high street full of independent shops and eateries to explore. After a potter around, stride out along one of the woodland walks from the town, or follow the banks of the Cleddau River. You’ll also be just 14 miles from the historic town of Cardigan, with its imposing Norman castle and popular indoor markets. We enjoyed a lovely stay at Ganol cottage. The cottage itself is very well equipped and is the perfect space for two people. We loved how characterful the cottage is and the patio area was perfect for romantic meals in :) We were very lucky that only one other cottage was occupied so everytime we went to the pool we had it to ourselves. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of booking. So peaceful and quiet with some lovely scenery. Ed the owner was very nice upon arrival and also has a guide book for the area for restaurants and pubs and even some nice places to visit around the area. Wont be faulted in anyway, thank you Ed.

The cottage is in a stunning location. Astoundingly beautiful coast to be found just 35 mins drive away. The pool and sauna are an amazing asset. The rolling hills to be seen from the gardens are the perfect setting to wake up in. Lovely organic shop just 8 mins walk away for all your food needs. Host is very accommodating and a great communicator. The guide book is possibly the best guide book we have ever seen and ever will, full of amazing recommendations so much so that you need to do no research whatsoever before your trip, its all there for you and categorised in such a helpful way. If you book the middle cottage, be aware that you are sharing a garden with the cottages either side of you should they be booked too. Hide

A lovely cottage with lots of charm in a very peaceful location. We took the things to do out and about folder with us and visited a great deal of attractions which were all worth visiting especially Pembroke Castle and the National Botanical Gardens near Carmarthen.
