There are plenty of walks available from the doorstep, too, including the towering Twnbarlwn (1 miles) and the Cwncarn Forest (5 miles) which has tonnes of walking and mountain biking trails. History buffs will love a trip to one of the many castles in the area, including Caerphilly Castle (9 miles), Cardiff Castle (10 miles), and Caldicot Castle (18 miles). While you’re there, explore Cardiff city centre (14 miles) with its abundance of tourist attractions and shops.
