This back-to-nature cabin with a separate kitchenette for two is perfect for a dog-friendly, romantic getaway on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. In the evenings, fire up the BBQ and stay up to watch the stars or get cosy by the wood burner in your round, wooden lodge. Spend your days exploring the nearby mountain trails and charming market towns.
Enter the cabin to find an all-in-one, neutral-toned living and sleeping space under the wooden beams and fairy lights. A fold-away wooden dining table and two chairs sit beneath one of the windows and adjacent is a cushion-covered daybed. Completing this space is a double bed and a warming wood burner. A few steps away is a separate cabin containing the kitchenette. Here you’ll find a blue, fitted, farmhouse-style kitchen unit with wooden countertops, a two-ring gas stove, grill and fridge. The dining area extends outside, with a picnic bench and a fire pit on an area of bark chippings. There is also a separate WC in another pirate cabin. Beyond the private garden area, there is a meadow backing onto a brook, which is shared with the neighbouring property. There is private parking for two cars.
During your stay in South Wales, you’ll be just 3 miles from the rural village of Glasbury, where you can swim or canoe at the riverside beach. Put on your hiking boots and follow a trail through the Black Mountains (6.5 miles) or try some watersports at Llangorse Lake (7.5 miles). Also nearby is the charming market town of Hay-on-Wye (5 miles), where you’ll find a farmers’ market and an array of antique bookshops.
