This large and luxurious holiday home sits between the Shropshire Hills and Snowdonia National Park, meaning that outdoor activities are never far from your doorstep. Ideally suited to groups of friends or family reuniting, this property is full of charm with exposed beams and an open fire helping everyone to feel instantly at home. For a car-free adventure, the River Bechan is less than half a mile away with picturesque views all around and plenty of places to stop off for a picnic.

Creating a social space for the whole group to gather, the living room is traditionally styled, sympathetic to the exposed beams, original wooden floors and open fire, with three large, sumptuous sofas and two deep armchairs. Next door is the grand dining room with a table seating 14, perfect for celebratory meals. By contrast, the kitchen has been finished to a high standard with modern updates seamlessly blending with the original features. Here, you’ll find ample space to prepare a feast, as well as a five-seater breakfast bar in the centre of the room. Six double bedrooms and two en-suite twin bedrooms make up the sleeping arrangements which are versatile for a wide range of guests. Each room has been tastefully styled in keeping with the property, furnished with ornate pieces of furniture and thoughtful touches. Outside, the peaceful patio is equipped with tables and chairs for summertime BBQs, as well as a fantastic hot tub. In addition, there is a shared courtyard area with a water feature and further outdoor areas for you to explore.

Those who fancy indulging in the local history should take a trip to Powys Castle and Gardens (11 miles) where well-kempt gardens and a medieval castle await atop a hill boasting blissful views in every direction. Snowdonia National Park is 21 miles away, offering an array of activities from iconic peak climbs to whimsical waterfall visits. The cottage was perfect! We are a group of 14 work colleagues and have had quite a few cottage weekends over the years. This was, by far, the best one we have stayed in. Location was perfect, cottage was well stocked with everything we could possibly need, beds are comfy and rooms are all a good size. The bar area was brilliant, stocked with plentyRead more of glasses and the covered outdoor seating area was excellent! Beth met us on arrival to show us round and came to say goodbye as we left. The grounds are stunning!! Perfect setting for a sociable weekend away.we will definitely be back again next year! Hide

What a beautiful and comfortable stay for our annual family get-away. Having ensuite for each room was perfect, the shared space was comfortable, the kitchen had everything you could need with the added bonus of high quality equipment and finishings. The surroundings are wonderful, quaint and quiet.

Beds lovely & comfy. Longe seating fine for sitting together in the evening. Lounge, dinning area very dark. Lots of flies while we were there the fly killer light machine needs a usb plug to fit in the kitchen. Would have preferred some seating out at the front of house. Back of house seating would be ideal in the winter months. Plenty of pots , pRead moreans. glasses behind the bar along with handy drinks fridge. As a large group of friends with children this property worked well for us, we enjoyed the outdoor space and the proximity to the local pub. A couple of minor maintenance issues which the reception team were helpful with but all in all a great property which we'd consider returning to.

An ideal property for family celebrations. It is very well equipped and comfortable. The bedrooms are all very spacious with en suite bathrooms. We were made to feel very welcome by the site manager. The hot tub in the private garden was a big hit, especially as the weather was great. We had a meal in the Bull and Heifer and also the Waggon and HorRead moreses on the way into Newtown, both of which I would highly recommend. Hide

Overall the accommodation was very good and comfortable. The Wi-Fi was a bit erratic and kept dropping out. The hot tub was a big hit with the 2 children and very clean. All 9 adults agreed that we would be happy to return.
