This charming first-floor apartment within a converted farm cottage is located close to the vibrant town of Brecon and is just right for couples or small families. Comfortable and quaint, it makes an ideal base for a walking holiday, outdoor activities or visiting Gower’s beautiful beaches.

You’ll reach the apartment via an external iron staircase to find an open-plan living space with traditional character. Original features, including deep windows and planked doors, contrast with the more contemporary style of the room. You’ll have a kitchen area where you can prepare holiday meals while admiring lovely rural views, a dining table for four and a welcoming lounge area with a TV, perfect for quiet nights in. Two cottage-style bedrooms have exposed beams and pretty soft furnishings. A shower room completes the interior. Step outside to find shared patios where you can take the opportunity to dine outside in the warmer months, or simply enjoy a drink in the fresh air. The grassy space around the complex of cottages leads down to a stream and, after checking with the owners, you may explore the farmland, too.

Paths and bridleways surround the property and, in the wider Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, you’ll find an enormous choice of activities, including not just walking and climbing but also mountain biking and water sports. The apartment is only 500m from the Cradoc Golf Club, if you fancy a round or two during your stay, and the vibrant market town of Brecon is just 2.5 miles from the apartment, where you’ll find interesting shops, great cafes and restaurants, walks by the canal and a Norman cathedral set in a walled close. For a great day out, the National Showcaves Centre is just 18 miles, with its awe-inspiring passageways and incredible Cathedral Cave.

small shower and shower room dated furniture but again reflects the reasonable pricing, most importantly for us the accommodation and equipment was clean, to actually use cutlery and crockery without having to clean it first a real treat and so unusual, heating controlled by the owners but more than adequate in some cool weather conditions

The property was ideal for us because it was well appointed and we could visit family and friends in the area. My son was able to play a round at Cradoc Golf Club, which now serves dinner seven days a week..
