Holiday accommodation in Llanwrtyd Wells

Situated south-west of Builth Wells, the small town of Llanwrtyd Wells was once a spa town following the discovery of waters with healing properties in the 18th century. Today it is famous for a number of weird and original events including the World Bog Snorkelling Championship, the Man versus Horse Marathon and the Real Ale Ramble - to name just a few. The town has a station on the Heart of Wales line with single coach trains winding their way north-east through the hills to Llandrindod Wells, Knighton, Builth Wells and onto Shrewsbury and south-west to Llandovery, Llangadog and Llandeilo, before continuing on to Llanelli and Swansea. The line makes for a wonderful day trip, passing through spectacular scenery and crossing two viaducts. Keen walkers can also make the most of the Heart of Wales Line Trail, which features stations along the route.

Staying in one of our holiday cottages in Llanwrtyd Wells gives you access to all of this and so much more. Whether you’re gathering the family for a well-earned retreat or fancy a couples’ break, we have holiday homes to suit all tastes and needs. They are part of our wide range of cottages in Mid Wales, so why not take a look? You might also be interested in our Powys cottages when planning exciting holidays in Wales.
