Capel Curig Cottages
Capel Curig is a charming village set on the river Lugwy in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park and has been a centre of habitation in the area for centuries with the remains of a Roman Fort not far from the current settlement. Surrounded by mountains and dramatic terrain it is not surprising that today the village is a hub for all of the outdoor activities that Snowdonia is renowned for and the home of the Plas-y-Brenin National Mountain Sports Centre.
Even though it is small, Capel Curig has a number of cafes and outdoor gear shops, so whether you are walking, mountaineering or mountain biking you can make sure you have the correct kit! If you want to travel a bit further afield around the National Park, Capel Curig is served by the Sherpa bus network and is a great base for visiting Llanberis, Llanrwst, Caernarfon, Betws-y-Coed, Beddgelert and Porthmadog.
