Direct access to the Wales Coast Path that leads directly to Criccieth Beach as well as Black Rock Sands - both within half a mile.

Peaceful and detached, this spacious and traditional stone built farmhouse is situated on the headland above Black Rock Sands, between Morfa Bychan and Criccieth, North Wales. It is a truly breath-taking location which commands panoramic views of Snowdonia National Park, Barmouth Bay and Criccieth Castle.
Black Rock's 3 miles of sandy beach is just 1/2 a mile by car or on foot via the Wales Coast Path that can be accessed from your garden gate. There's a convenience store and chip shop within a mile of your Morfa Bychan accommodation, whilst at the other side of the headland, Criccieth Beach can also be accessed by following the Wales Coast Path for less than 1/2 a mile.
Numerous recommended restaurants can be found in Criccieth, including Poachers, Dylan's and Moelwyn Restaurants. If you wish to eat here, you could either enjoy a beautiful 2 mile walk along Criccieth Beach, or by road (4.5 miles). As the home town of Cadwalader's ice cream you also have a great excuse to treat yourself to dessert. The popular harbour town of Porthmadog is also within 3 miles where you can catch a steam train through forested and mountainous scenery to the walled castle town of Caernarfon or to the slate mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog.
Blaenau Ffestiniog (15 miles) is also home to a range of adventures, from ZipWorld Titan and Bounce Below to Llechwedd Slate Mines and Antur Stiniog biking centre. Other prime attractions in this central part of Snowdonia includes Portmeirion Italianate Village (7 miles), the World Heritage Site of Harlech Castle (13 miles) and Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. In summary, with some of Wales' best attractions on your doorstep, this area will most definitely keep you entertained.
Black Rock Sands - 3 miles of sandy beach. 0.5 mile
Criccieth Beach - the 'furthest' end of the eastern beach is within a short walk of your Morfa Bychan accommodation. Criccieth also has a second beach at the other side of the Castle. Both are a mixture of sand and pebble with a rocky area at the 'far' end (nearest to Ffermdy Penrhyn), exposing rock pools at low tide. 0.5 mile
Wales Coast Path - literally on your doorstep, this world famous path can be followed in either direction - towards Morfa Bychan (south) and Criccieth (north west). 0 mile.
Snowdon Mountain. The nearest route starts from Rhyd-ddu, or you can catch the train from Llanberis to the summit café. 13 / 27 miles.
