This charming property, situated in an idyllic location just half a mile from the popular walking and cycling route Torrent Walk, is perfect for families or groups of friends looking for a relaxing holiday in Snowdonia National Park. Sleeping five across three bedrooms, it won’t be long before everyone is up and about and ready to get walking down the trails. When it’s time to rest your weary legs, you’ll have a cosy and welcoming holiday home to return to with pretty gardens and spectacular mountain views.

The owners have carefully thought about how to blend the traditional and the contemporary in this cottage. The kitchen/diner is fresh and bright with sleek appliances and a quaint farmhouse-style table, while relaxing neutral tones and comfortable sofas in the lounge beckon you to curl up around the open fire in the evenings. Upstairs, peaceful decor in the bedrooms promises you a good night’s sleep; the double room has a pretty ornamental fireplace while the single room and bunk room offer wonderful views of the countryside and garden.

Hire mountain bikes from the only purpose-built mountain bike centre at Coed y Brenin Forest Park (10 miles) and head off down the trails, or don your walking boots and take a stroll. Sandy Barmouth Beach (12.5 miles) is ideal for a day at the seaside, or you could visit Fairbourne Beach (12 miles) and take a ride on the Fairbourne Steam Railway too. Corris Mine Explorers is a great family day out for those interested in learning about Wales’ mining history, while King Arthur’s Labyrinth (both 8 miles) is an immersive underground experience where you’ll be taken on a quest way back to the Dark Ages.

Apart from RAF planes whizzing over occasionally, the cottage was comfortable and in a peaceful location but very close to the town of Dolgellau.
