Wake up each morning to the sights and sounds of the sea when staying in this coastal cottage. Situated on the promenade in the vibrant village of Mumbles, less than 5 miles from Swansea city centre, this holiday let provides the perfect base for beach breaks, city adventures and excursions into the depths of the delightful Gower Peninsula AONB. For getaways with family, friends or as two couples, this property sleeps four guests and features a zip-and-link bedroom for additional versatility. The cottage is also dog-friendly, ideal for those eager to explore coastal sights with some canine company.

Instantly inviting, this three-story terraced cottage has been sympathetically finished with stylish interiors and nautical nods. Step inside to be greeted by the first of two lounge spaces, complete with plush seating, a coal-effect electric fire and a TV. You can begin to admire the fantastic sea views from here or in the second lounge space that’s tucked away in the attic. Here you’ll find Velux windows and panoramic views. Heading back downstairs, the ground floor boasts a kitchen/diner and direct access to a rear patio and a garage with plenty of space for storing mountain bikes or surfboards. Two king-size bedrooms upstairs, one of which is presented with the zip-and-link bed, complete the property’s offering.

Having admired the water from inside your accommodation, you’ll no doubt be itching to spend a day at the beach. Wander down to Mumbles Beach (0.5 miles) or venture a little further to Langland Bay (1 mile) or Caswell Bay (2 miles), both exceptionally popular golden sand beaches with excellent sea and surf. Naturally, each of these is linked by a large stretch of coastal pathway that continues along the Peninsula’s edge. Follow this fantastic hiking route along to Oxwich (9.5 miles), spotting stunning coves and bays along the way.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 king-size and 1 twin with zip-and-link beds that can be made into a king-size on request
  • 2 bathrooms – 1 shower room with WC, and 1 family bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC
  • Electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and integrated dishwasher
  • Welcome pack
  • 3 TVs and 2 iPod stations

We had a fabulous week at your lovely house, loved Langland Bay, Surfside cafe and Langland Brasserie. We even got some sun on our faces, sitting outside sipping wine, watching the surfers. Also loved Gin and Tapas, Verdis and Pierre bistro. We ate and drank very well. Thanks for the welcome back to Cheers.

Very well presented, equipped and comfortable property, with ample parking accessed from a small lane which leads to the rear of this and of nearby properties. The fresh flowers in the living room were also much appreciated. Last, but not least, the view overlooking Swansea Bay and location are wonderful - we enjoyed the flat walks to pubs, cafes and restaurants, not to mention woodland and castle walks right on the doorstep. There is a very busy road at the front of the property but the view and efficient double glazing which minimises any noise more than compensates! We will definitely be returning for a 3rd visit to St.Jude's next year. Hide

Excellent well equipped cottage with everything you need for a very comfortable and relaxed stay. Website and booking is very efficient. Just one minor issue is that more recycling bags need to be provided as you have to split the recycling and we only had one bag.

Nice property in a great location , the standard of the finish is a bit rough . I do think that the check in and check out time is excessive now that covid rules have been relaxed . You lose a day of your holiday .
