Highfield House was an ideal house to stay in for our break in the Gower. The location was perfect for exploring the area and with 2 pubs just up the road, a good meal was never far away. The house itself was just perfect for us - well equipped, roomy, comfortable and the hot tub was well used and so relaxing. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank youRead more. Hide

Overall, we enjoyed staying here for Christmas. The house is nicer and bigger than I expected, which was great! Lots of space and well stocked for us and also having family over.

Lovely property in a great location. Surprisingly the house was even better than it looked in the photos. Garden is beautiful and very peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we had booked longer than a week.

This house is beautiful elegant and so spacious. The garden is huge and living room very large too as is the kitchen-diner. We were disappointed there was no welcome pack which is unusual. Also no clothes storage in 2nd double room, had to live out of the suitcase.

We loved our stay at Highfield house in the heart of Bishopston. Lovely big house which allowed us to spread out and sooo close to the local pubs too. Decent walk to the beaches and beautiful views. Our dog and granddaughter (2) loved the garden too. We barely spent any time sat inside as the seating areas were great on the terrace. The hot tub waRead mores great but was unusable from Wednesday as the filter malfunctioned and theyre was a delay in getting it repaired so that was disappointing. I would just say that there needs to be an upgrade of the pans etc as everything stuck to them and there wasnt enough of them for a large family home. Overall loved the holiday spending time with family in a lovely house. Hide

Excellent service from Original Cottages with a few reservations. Think it should be highlighted more the very steep stairs in the house and drops off decking in the garden which would be very difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Garden probably suitable for children 4+. Also some interesting elements to some of the furniture- the dining tablRead moree had a lot of movement in it and could do with some attention/tightening. Would be very useful to have a highchair available for use and also for this family house a bbq (brilliant area at top of garden where one could be built in) would be great. Overall a great house in the beautiful Gower. Village was wonderfully friendly and a great location for exploring some wonderful local beaches. Garden very dog friendly and secure - thank you for that especially. Hide
