Property code: OC-HH86

Located in Penmaen above Three Cliffs Bay sits this spacious four-bedroom property. Perfect for a family and two canine companions, it’s a fantastic getaway for those wanting tranquillity plus easy access to countryside walks and dog-friendly sandy beaches.

Exposed beams, wood flooring, and creamy tones create a relaxing atmosphere in this welcoming holiday home. On the ground floor, the lounge is a relaxing space with floor-to-ceiling windows that drench the room in natural, uplifting light. After a day of exploring, open the windows, sink into the sofa, and let the fresh countryside air breeze in. On chillier days, light the wood burner and unwind with your favourite programme on the TV. From the lounge, step through to the stylish kitchen and rustle up a delicious family meal then serve it in the dining room at the table with seating for nine people. Alternatively, open the patio doors and dine alfresco in the garden. Come bedtime, you can choose between a lovely twin bedroom or double bedroom on the ground floor or head upstairs where you’ll find two more bedrooms featuring a double bed and a double and single bed. All the bedrooms are wonderfully comfortable and pleasantly furnished with one of the bedrooms boasting a delightful balcony. In the morning, enjoy breakfast in the garden while listening to the birdsong in the trees. There’s also an extensive lawn where the children and dogs can run free.

Enjoy feeling the sand between your toes at one of the nearby beaches. Dog-friendly Tor Bay and Three Cliffs are less than 0.5 miles away and are good spots to relax, splash in the sea, or enjoy a spot of rock pooling. Alternatively, the whole family can head to nearby Cefn Bryn, the highest point on Gower, and spend the day immersed in nature. Climb to the summit and on the way spot skylarks, butterflies, brown hares, and the Neolithic monument, Arthur’s Stone.

Excellent cottage, we would highly recommend it for a family reunion or a couple of families staying together. The layout of the cottage works really well, the beds are super comfortable and WiFi is good (as one of our party needed to work while there). There are amazing coastal walks on the doorstep. We loved the log fire after a wet and windy walRead morek and we were cosy despite December temperatures. We hope to return in the future. Hide

Holly Tree Lodge was absolutely amazing to stay in, very comfortable and had everything we needed, including kitchen facilities for the keen cooks in the family. The upstairs was a wonderful bonus with great space for reading. The sofas were comfy and the dining table had ample space for our party of 8 adults. We were close by to lots of beautifuRead morel beaches, we particularly liked Oxwich bay. All in all a fabulous week, we just wish wed booked for two! We would definitely recommend Holly Tree Lodge. A few very small issues. The boiler is REALLY smelly and situated in the kitchen between living room and bedrooms. Constant smell of diesel in the house from the boiler was most unpeasasnt I'm afraid. The shower shown in the website gallery is not present in the property. To us, a shower is a shower so it wasn't an issue, but some guests mighRead moret be disappointed! The kitchen was way too small to do much cooking. We were only 2 p[eople, heaven knows how you would cook for a family of 4 with hardly any worktop space and a small island. With the dining room so far away on the other side of the living room it couldn't be used as a food prep area. So for us, the property had issues, which is a shame as otherwise it was a lively place to stay Hide

The up stairs toilet seat, was covered in urine underneath the seat ( very strong smell and not very nice ) also unable to close windows in upstairs bedroom as double glazing broken. Lucky we had great weather other than that it was a very pleasant place to stay

The only reason I've dropped points is because the advert implies the property overlooks Three Cliffs Bay. As our daughter has mobility issues we thought she would be able to sit outside and at least see and hear a beach on days when she cannot get out and made the booking for this reason. People, especially people with disabilities, have to relyRead more on the information provided on the advert and it is very disappointing to find it is not truly written. Having said that, now we know the true location of Holly Tree Lodge, we would still love to return in the future as inside it was the perfect cottage for our needs. Hide

We and other family members have booked through Home From Home for a number of years when holidaying on Gower and the service and quality of properties has always been excellent.
