Tegeirian is a holiday cottage near Porthcawl set in Newton Burrows sand dunes which leads to Newton Beach and the Merthyr Mawr Nature reserve. This unique ecosystem of sand dunes stretches for over 840 acres. From the beach there are fantastic panoramic views to Ogmore and across to Devon. The all Wales coastal path runs nearby making it an easy walk to Porthcawl Marina and seafront where there are a wide variety of places to eat out. The historic village of Newton, five minutes walk away, with its tales and legends of smugglers is centred round a twelfth century Church. Overlooking the church and village green with its children’s playpark are two popular village pubs. A further three minutes walking leads to two of the three, small, but well stocked, convenience stores and a post office. Indoor swimming pool, leisure and sports activities are also within walking distance .

We have had a great stay here and everything was superb in the accommodation. The owners were so helpful and we couldn’t wish for more . Wales cottage holidays were 100% in there service . There are three nice pubs within a ten minute walk and Porthcaul shops etc was a 25 min walk . Coastal route takes longer . Stunning views . So our accommodation was a perfect base to explore and would definitely recommend and we will return .
We loved staying in this cottage. It was very comfortable and the location was perfect for the beach and handy for a stroll into Porthcawl. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in South Wales.
This place was just perfect. It was beautifully located beside a sunny beach and the house itself did everything we needed. There were a lot of lovely touches that made us feel like it was very family friendly, such as children’s cutlery and bed guards. We enjoyed our stay here very much. So relaxing.
Everything we needed for a short break. Lovely beach (Newton) & spent some time at Rest Bay. We were concerned about being in a crowd but being here we managed a rest, change of scenery & social distancing. Neighbours all very nice & helpful!
We have all had a lovely stay! Cottage very comfortable. We have not had the best of weather but we have been out & about all week! We've had some nice meals out & my grand daughter who has learning disabilities was kep happy all week. We would like to thank you for a lovely & confortable cottage.
Had a wonderful stay! Greta location for exploring the beach. Despite not having the best weather we managed to get out & explore everyday. Would highly recommend.
Had a wonderful stay - sadly cut short by 'Mr Covid'! House brilliant, village brilliant, locals friendly. Didn't get to see & doo everything we planned but still had plenty to do! Jolly Sailor does magnificent food - if fully booked they will do take-away. Would love to return.
We had a lovely break plus the weather has been super hot so spent most or our time here or on the beach. Our daughter loved the beach. House & garden nice & secure for our 1yr old to toddle around. Everyone in the area was really friendly. We would recommend the Teigeirian & would love to return again in the near future. Thank you it's been a pleasure!
We enjoyed a fabulously comfortable, peaceful and relaxing holiday at a property within easy reach of beaches, scenic coastal walks and a wide variety of local attractions - so much to do! Tegeirian provided us with everything that we needed and much more - totally surpassed our expectations. South facing private back garden included all the furniture we needed with easy access to the sand dunes by the beach through the back gate. We could even watch Netflix after a relaxing day out. We totally recommend!!
Fabulous spot backing onto the sand dunes and sandy beach, nice little garden to relax in and play games with our 2 young children. Close to playpark, lovely coffee shop/bar and local shop.
