Holiday cottages and self-catering accommodation in Caernarfon

The traditional county town of Caernarfon has a history which can be traced back to Roman times. It is best known for its great stone castle, which dominates the town on the banks of the River Seiont, just a short distance from some of our holiday cottages in Caernarfon. Another of Caernarfon’s fabulous attractions is the Welsh Highland Railway, which runs from the town on a spectacular 22-mile long scenic journey, climbing over 650 foot from sea level as it crosses the flanks of Yr Wyddfa / Snowdon. Then it zigzags dramatically down the steep hillside to reach Beddgelert village, the magnificent Aberglaslyn Pass, Pont Croesor beside the RSPB Glaslyn Osprey Centre and through to Porthmadog where it links up with the Ffestiniog Railway.

Settle in for a holiday in one of our Caernarfon cottages, and fill your itinerary with visits to places including Parc Glynllifon (5 miles), a 70-acre Grade-I listed garden which is home to a wide range of exotic trees and plants, including a 100 ft monkey puzzle tree. GreenWood Forest Park (5.5 miles) is an eco-friendly, family-oriented attraction with a range of features including a Green Dragon Rollercoaster, a 70-metre sledge run, a Jungle Boat Adventure and a big, bouncy Giant Jumper! Our Caernarfon holiday cottages provide a comfortable base for couples, families and groups of friends, ideal for a celebratory stay or a spontaneous trip away. Browse all of our self-catering accommodation in Caernarfon below, and start looking forward to your holiday in North Wales.
