Our best Welsh holiday cottages with outdoor baths

Laura Kerslake 11 June 2024

Not many things are more luxurious than lying back in the bubbles of a nice hot bath, especially with a good book or a glass of wine in hand. It’s the perfect way to chill out whilst on holiday and enjoy a little ‘me time’, making your break away even more restful and relaxing.

But did you know there’s a way to elevate that bubble bath to another level? How about bathing under the stars at one of our properties with an outdoor bathtub? You can soak in the scenery as you soak in the tub – it's sure to be a bathing experience you’ll never forget.

We’ve rounded up all our properties that offer outdoor baths below, so no matter who you want to visit Wales with, you can find your perfect holiday home with an outdoor bath.

The Old Barn At Nant Y Gaseg Farm, Pontardawe | sleeps 6

A close up of two cast-iron baths located outside a property, with a bottle of champagne and two glasses between them. Above them is a large green parasol and behind them is a wooden fence.

This stunning 17th-century barn conversion in idyllic grounds, nestled in the heart of the Swansea Valleys, really is an ideal holiday home for the whole family. Contemporary design and original features merge to create a beautiful atmosphere where you can rest and relax, whilst the surrounding area provides plenty of days out for entertaining everyone.

The property’s gorgeous interiors are only beaten by its fantastic outdoor areas. Directly outside the home, there’s a generous garden ideal for the kids to tire themselves out in, as well as a lovely seating area perfect for al fresco dining. A stay at The Old Barn At Nant Y Gaseg Farm also grants you access to a private paddock with a stone circle with fire pit and a teepee, as well as fruit orchards where you can pick your own.

But it’s the outdoor twin cast-iron baths that are this gorgeous holiday home's crowning glory. What could be a better end to a busy day once the kids are in bed than a romantic side-by-side soak, watching the sun set over the spectacular surrounding scenery?

Finished to a beautiful standard, this one-of-a-kind property offers a quirky and cosy interior, with a full kitchen, lounge area with a wood burner, dining bench, and a separate bedroom with a double bed cleverly nestled in the driver's cabin.

Outside, you can enjoy the magnificent sea views over Angle Bay from your private patio or cuddle up by the fire pit with your other half. Or to really relax after spending a busy day exploring all Pembrokeshire has to offer, soak in the views together in the side-by-side outdoor baths.
