Tucked away on the south coast of Wales, the Gower Peninsula isn’t just a paradise for beach lovers and hikers, it’s fast becoming the perfect destination for foodies too. Gower offers a true flavour of Wales, with its rich farming heritage, thriving coastal communities and an abundance of independent eateries.
From seaside brasseries serving fresh seafood, ideal after a long day on Gower's beaches, to cosy Gower pubs dishing up hearty Sunday roasts, perfect after a long Gower Peninsula walk, there’s no shortage of Gower restaurants to try. The emphasis is firmly on local produce; salt marsh lamb, locally caught crab, and seasonal veg from the glorious Gower countryside are just some of the delicacies you’ll discover.
And to help you choose what to eat when you get there, Wales Cottage Holidays Marketing Manager, and Gower local, Laura, has picked her top dish at each of the restaurants. Read on to find out what she recommends.
