Anglesey Guide
At just over 275 square miles, Anglesey is the fifth largest island surrounding Great Britain and is situated off the North Coast of Wales. It is attached to the main land by the stunning Menai Suspension Bridge which was built in 1826. Once you’ve crossed the first modern suspension bridge in the world, take a deep breath and enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes that Anglesey has to offer.
The unique point about this largely welsh-speaking island is that much of Anglesey’s 125 mile coast line has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in order to protect its exquisite sand dunes, coves, cliffs and countryside.
With small towns and villages scattered around the island, and Holyhead Mountain making a striking impression on the Anglesey horizon, anybody who enjoys the great outdoors would love visiting the Welsh beauty that is on offer here.
